THIS WAS NOT MY IDEA, and there was no room in the fridge. Might as well work around the problem, no?
So summer's here. What better than some watermelon, eh? I was originally going to tie it up and put it in a nearby stream, but someone had a better idea to put it in a bucket and pour water on it with a hint of frozen water bottle. We went to town and back, the watermelon was deliciously cool. (It would have been better if it was in the stream!) But either way, watermelons' watermelon.
Okay. So today's my little brother's birthday so I kinda decide to make watermelon cake. Simple to make really. It follows the rule of rainbow cake, but with only 3 colors. Basically because I left all my other colors at my grandma's house. I WAS going to make rainbow cake but I only had two colors: Black and Blue. I also had some watermelon extract lying around so I used that for the pink. But in the end it was (my word —>) NOMLICIOUS. Sure I could if taken a picture of the outside and the whole cake. But no sooner that I put a straw on it for a candle (we don't keep candles for his safety) he got his sticky little hand and pulled out a chunk. But really there isn't anything better than watermelon flavored cake with red white and blue sprinkles with a fake candle for your little brother's birthday. We also made a 'giant' train track with him because well.....its his birthday and this was his present.
So I guess I can say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! to my little brother. =)

My lunch / dinner a double strawberry shortcake. I made two luckily because as soon as I went to eat this one it fell over and onto the floor. Either way these were delicious! =D

OK so I got my JetPens order in the mail Friday and I was very pleased with it. I ordered a Pentel Sunburst Metallic Gel pen. Now I can honestly say it was money well spent. This pen is the best and my new favourite.
Its ink is SUPER shiny and its metallic blue colour is captivating and the way it us in a RSVP pen design makes it so much more awesome. The grip is comfortable and the unknown is smooth. Perfect pen for craft writing or just to make writing fun! =)
So today in church (ash wendsday) father told us one of the funniest things that he's probably ever said. He told us: "Now normally the preist says 'man you are dust and to dust you shall return.' Today he said: "Now I just got a notice in the mail saying that this has been changed. Now we have to say 'Man you are biodegratable, and you will be recycled.' "
From my kitchen on spring break, allow me to introduce:..........Cranberry and cherry jello! So simple to make its just like regular jello. The only diffrence is that you mix a can of cranberry sauce into the jello and then make the jello as regular. Chill, serve, and enjoy! Now I must admit it is nom-ingly good=P. But I had a hard time creating the name for it so I just came up with this. Well so long and happy eating! =)
I found some tofu at my local store so I bought some. I thought I might as well make tacos because I love tacos=) now I am not so found of these things. I fried the tofu and stuck it in taco seasoning. And yup,you guessed it. They came out terrible. My big excuse is because I have NEVER worked with tofu before so bear with me on this =) but I will find something to do with tofu when I learn!
So my school has a gas outage so on my days off I have decided to make plushies! I really LOVE plushies they are sooooo kawaii! Well anyways... here is what I made:
My grandmother made frito pies today and they were so delicious! But we ran out of fritos so we just had beans with chili and toppings. Then there was an idea to crush up some corn chips so our frito pies were saved! Frito pies are fairly easy to make cook some beans as you normally would and pour on top of about a handful of fritos in a bowl. Res chili is an option. Normal toppings in our home are cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes, but you can put anything that would be good to you. Well enjoy!
A little kawaii (to me) plush doughnut! I got bored today so I resort to one of my favorite hobbies. Making plushies! =D I found an old pattern and I made a doughnut. I sewed seed beads as the sprinkles and used just regular stuffing. It is approximately 2 1/2 " across (7 cm) and approx. 3/4" in height (1-2 cm). I actually had a lot of fun with this project and hope to sell them eventually! ~Kat
